Bad Joke

Driving along in Derbyshire today with unfenced grazing areas each side, we came across two sheep in the middle of the road, totally unaware that they were holding up traffic in both directions! Ian asked, "Why did the sheep cross the road? Answer: Because the grass is always greener on the other side!" I hope Ian doesn't give up the day job!

Recycling

Gemma and I took Ian for walkies to the local Council today - to post a form. There was a large plastic recycling bin there - that is, a bin for recycling plastic - not a bin made of plastic! Now I have heard people talking about a drink called squash (orange, lemon and so on). This plastic recycling bin had a notice on it saying 'Please remove lid and squash'. What I want to know is this: what happens if, instead of a squash bottle, you want to recycle a plastic milk carton, or cola bottle? Are there separate bins for those too?! And do you have to remove the milk or cola?!

Welcome!

This is something new! Welcome to my very own blog! Be sure to visit regularly in order to keep up to date with the busy lives of Gemma and me as we try our best to organise the lives of Ian and Julie! As Blog is short for Weblog, I wonder if I should call this a Glog - short for Doglog....? Just a doggie thought :-)
